Familiar Wild Flowers Series
As the first book in a series of seven it left me hungry to find and study the other six. The text, although printed a century ago, is visually sharp, informative and detailed in content. Each chapter is illustrated with a coloured plate of the floral subject and a illustrated first letter. To end each chapter the author created another illustration. The author Frederick Edward Hulme left us a gift in each book he produced and to have access to these beautifully scanned works of art is a priviledge. The standard of reproduction great with clear lines and colours.
